Japan can't grow

一番後の質問でありますけれども、やはり今日よりも明日の方がいいとみんなが思えるようなまち、東京にしたいというのが大きな目標でございます。国も同じことだと思います。「もうしょうがないよね」と諦めばかりがある国というのは、その後も育たないというか、伸びないと思っております。

As to the latter part of your question, my main goal is to make Tokyo a city where everyone can feel that tomorrow will be better than today. I think the same is true for the national government. I believe that a country that is always giving up, saying, "It can't be helped," will not be able to grow, to develop.
